ANNOTATION:
Nowadays one of the most used terms after pandemic situation is
online edu-
cation in the institutes, universities and schools. On the other hand, without pandemic situation online
learning also has positives and negative sides
KEY wORDS:
pandemic situation,online education,positives,negative
Now, Covid-19 have been forced to switch to online education from
so many countries in order
to keep the health of students. Such a global problem influence education. On
the other hand,wihout
pandemic situation online learning has risen significantly and it will continue doing so in the future.
What are the advantages of online learning? Exactly, there are a lot of facts and reason benefits online
education. For example, some students to ability to learn is strong however they don’t have college,-
schools where they live or they don’t have enough money to defray to learn. Therefore, learners can
get to knowledge through the internet. Secondy, there are more and more students who work from
anywhere at any time most benefits to learn online education because no matter where you are you
can do your job and learn at the same time. In fact, cost of an online education course can be cheaper
than traditional course and studens can save money from the equipment used in the educational insti-
tution. Thereafter, learners don’t need to visit lecture halls or classrooms. Some days sudents or pupil
don’t want to leave the house because their daily life can become getting to school in time or fighting
through traffic, so if young people stay at home and study through online, theydo’nt get much stress.
One
more fact , there are many student are unable to express their opinions during the lesson so
students can speak and concentrate individually in an online lesson. Job hunters who want to give
their resumes a little extra rocket fuel can also benefit from online learning. Searching for a job can
feel like a full-time commitment so you might not have time to visit a local college campus to learn
those extra skills. Another benefits of online classes you can finish most courses quickly or at least
much faster classroom course. This means you don’t have to wait a number of weeks or months to
add your new skills to your resume. Another advantage of learning online improve technology skills
and this opportunity give new skills. For example during online learning you can research a lot of in-
formation through internet or communicate with websites and give more and more educational skills.
Many people believe that, a lot of people spend more time
studying
and completing assignments
in the online environment than they will in an on-campus course. How can that be? The online en-
vironment is text-based. To communicate with your instructor and other students, you must type
messages, post responses and otherwise communicate using your fingers. I mean typing. As you can
probably guess, typing is slower than speaking. You should try reading each word as you type it and
compare the difference if you had spoken the same thing. In the same sense, reading your lecture
materials can take more time than listening to an instructor deliver them, although spoken
lectures
have an obvious disadvantage. If you are sitting in a classroom, it’s likely that you will miss a good
percentage of what the instructor says, no matter how focused you are. It is human nature to zone out
fo
r
brief periods of time. When you are reading, you will have a tendency to go back over the notes
if you miss something and that can take more time. The point is that you will likely learn more in an
online education, but you will have to make a greater effort to bring about that learning.
On the other hand, as there is a dark side to that controversial property known as the Force, there
is a dark side to Internet-based courses. The dark side starts with procrastination.. Procrastination will
hack you to bits in an online education. There is no one to tell you to get to class on time. There is
– 114 –
no one reminding you that assignments are due or that exam is coming. There is no one to preach to
you, beg with you, plead with you to stay on top of your coursework. It’s easy to put off reading and
assignments in the online environment. Before you know it, weeks have gone by, you have not done
any homework and it is exam time. Too real. Creepy anxious. Scary bad.
An Internet-based course demands that you develop personal time-management skills. As with
most things, if you don’t manage your time properly, you will find yourself covered beneath a seem
-
ing impossible mountain of coursework. Online courses desire the self-discipline to
set aside chunks
of time to complete your studies. It means you have to make online studying a priority and not let
other activities interfere. Sometimes, it means making difficult choices
Of course, the disadvantages of Online Education cannot be ignored. First, compared to online
class, Offline real class might have a great opportunity to have better interactions between students
and teachers. If an online class keeps lacking good interactions between students and teachers, the
learning effect would be greatly reduced. Second, learners would not get direct feedback from online
teachers about homework or other practice after class. Therefore, the learners
would lose the oppor-
tunity to help them review, practice and enhance what they have learned. The last but not the least, if
the teachers could not successfully attract students’ attention, the learners would easily get distracted
by their cellphones or other things that might happen at their home or place..
To conclude I can say,all things have positive and negative sides.Online classes are sometimes
good and sometimes not good.
