How does it work? 
When the library is in smart mode first the library member is provided a short induction that includes 
all the details the member need on how the system works and how to use the library in smart mode 
safely. After the induction the member can have their library card activated. To enter into the library 
the member first has to scan his/her library card at the door and enter his/her PIN. The door then

In this digital age as we are moving forward we should take advantage of smart technology to 
modernize the libraries. These smart technologies encourage more people to use the library. It is a 
system well equipped with smart technology that is fully dedicated to help library users so that they 
their requirements without the help of the staff and without wasting their valuable time. A 
smart library enables remote controlling of library building includes automatic doors, public access 
self service kiosk. It is a system developed to support the library users. This system 
extends the library hours and makes the users able to use library services according to their

smart people, smart place, and smart governance. However, the smart library concept does not
