. ICTs have made it possible to provide access to these resources in full text,
accessed via the institutions’ intranet, extranet or over the Internet. This is being done through
Institutional Repositories (Ws). The most commonly used software's are, Dspace, Eprints & Fedora.
Library Portal 2.0 Service
A library portal is an interactive interface to access library resources and services through single
access gateway, combining the OPAC, circulation, subscribed database, electronic journals/books and
catalogue etc, function of integrated library management system with additional tools and dialogue

It can be defined as “a combination of software components that join the user experience of
discovering and accessing information”

. Library portal meets the individual needs of the users and
the portal is now the standard interface to generate library resources and services through single
access and management point for users

The basic concept behind this to provide an interactive
interface where information seekers can access their desire information, and interact with all resister
users of the library just like library forum.
E-database Service
An electronic database is a collection of electronic searchable resources; basically they are in two type
of database:
Indexes or bibliographic databases
Full-text databases.
Indexing or bibliographic database is known as indexing and abstracting services provided by the
libraries. In indexes the whole indexing information about the resources are available in multiple
formats (including multidisciplinary search). In bibliographical database a short description (abstract)
of the content (eg. Article) are available along with indexing information

. Full-text database provide
the all inclusive services as mention as above, but also include the full-text of the articles, allowing
you to read it online, or download it for offline reading, which includes access to thousands
of journals, as well as e-books, newspaper articles; reports; pictures; and increasingly e-books
