As part of the "University" theme, students are invited to visit the site
www.vspu.ru and share with your classmates what events are planned at
the pedagogical university in the near future. Students are invited
to choose material for a media project dedicated to VSPU: take digital
photos of VSPU facilities (library, lecture halls, sports hall,
canteen, etc.), make annotations to them in a foreign language,
comment on a slide show dedicated to the university. 
We recommend that you complete your work with a Power Point presentation.


Media technologies are also used in practical foreign language classes
. For example, as part of the study of the oral topic "Volgograd", it is planned
to conduct a virtual tour of Volgograd, which is an
electronic product created on the basis of the Power Point program, based
on slides, graphic and audio-visual tools in compositional
unity. The number of photos is determined depending on the level
of training of students. When showing slides, synchronous and
asynchronous presentation of the image and corresponding text alternates. To control
the understanding of the content, students are commented on the text for a particular slide, and
then a number of photos are shown and asked to identify the corresponding
photo, and to select the necessary texts for the remaining photos.
It is recommended to complete the virtual tour of the hero city with oral
messages on the topic "Volgograd" in a foreign language.
It is a well-known fact that the Internet creates a unique opportunity for all
foreign language learners to use authentic texts, listen to and
communicate with native speakers, i.e. it creates a natural language environment. "
Modern means of communication with partners, access to information resources
of the Internet network imply a fairly fluent command of not only computer
technologies, but also foreign languages" [2].


Teaching a foreign language, of course, has
a communicative orientation. Let's list the directions in which the Internet can bring
students ' training in communication, transmission and perception of information in a foreign 
language to
a higher level. This includes communication, information, and publishing. Communication
is carried out by e-mail, the most diverse information
from various spheres of human life is contained in
the World Wide Web, publication can be carried out by creating
its own page on the Internet.
The communicative approach implies learning to communicate and developing
the ability for cross-cultural interaction, which is the foundation
of the functioning of the Internet. The Internet is a multi-national community of people from
different countries of the world, whose activities are based on electronic communication of millions
of people around the world, and by joining it, you can create a model of real
communication. In foreign language classes, it is not always possible
to access the Internet, so students ' independent work in this area
of ICT application comes to the fore. In the
course of the student's independent work in preparation for practical classes in a foreign language
e-mail is often used
for correspondence between students and the teacher in a foreign
language, for students to submit independent papers, etc. Work on the topic "I am
a student" also involves correspondence by e-mail with students from
the country of the language being studied, in particular with the during which they discuss the 
problems of the modern economy.
