: role-playing and business games, "round table". 
Educational opportunities of role-playing and business games consist in modeling
the natural situation of communication. The role-playing game also develops students ' logical
thinking, communication and creative abilities.
Motivation of game activity is provided by its voluntary
nature, opportunities for choice and elements of competitiveness, satisfaction of needs, self-
affirmation, self-realization [3]. Therefore, students ' participation in
educational activities with the use of game technologies increases motivation to
learn a foreign language, since these technologies remove the psychological
barrier when using productive foreign language speech activities
for most students.


So, as part of the study of the topic "Volgograd" in practical classes in
a foreign language
, a role-playing game is usually conducted
"Help a foreigner!",
during which students take on the roles of "Volgograd resident" and
"foreign tourist" in turn. The task of the" foreigner "is to ask "volgogradets"
about the sights and find out how to get to them.
