2. Climate Change, World Water Resources and Agriculture Sector
Climate Change is defined as long-term and gradual changes in climatic conditions with large-
scale and significant local effects. The annual average of hot and cold times shows a difference of 10 0C,
naturally many changes have occurred in the climate system throughout the world geological history of
approximately 4.5 billion years. The natural forces of the climate system can arise as a result of changes
in the internal forces of the climate system, for example due to aerosols caused by volcanic eruptions or
by interacting with the atmospheric and ocean circulation due to change. Since the middle of the 19th
century, discussions began that in addition to natural change; human activities also affect the climate. It is
arranged as the change of climate and the shift of this situation from the averages. Climate change is
defined by taking into account human activities and lifestyles that increase greenhouse gas accumulation.
According to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, climate change is defined
as a result of a change in climate, human activities that directly or indirectly disrupt the composition of
the global atmosphere, in addition to the natural climate change observed in a comparable time period
(Türkeş et al., 1998; Cornea et al., 2011).
Earth's atmosphere works like a greenhouse. Almost half of the sun's rays reaching the earth's
surface are reflected from the earth. In the atmosphere of our world, carbon dioxide, water vapor,
methane, oxide, ozone, nitrogen, etc., which are also accepted as greenhouse gases? It sends some of the
sun rays reflected from the earth from the earth by the gases back to the earth. With greenhouse gases
acting as blankets, the average temperature in the world has a temperature level of 15 ° C that will ensure
the survival of humans, animals and plants. Without greenhouse gases, the average temperature of the
world would be around -18 ° C. This natural effect of greenhouse gases is called "greenhouse gas effect".
The rate of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere started to increase after the industrial revolution that
