19. Give the general info (main legislative acts) on licensing in the sphere of tourism
This Regulation in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan “ On licensing certain types of activities ”, “ On tourism ”, Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 2, 2016 No. UP-4861 “On measures to ensure the accelerated development of the tourism industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and the resolution The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 2, 2016 No. PP – 2666 “On the organization of activities of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Development of Tourism” determines the procedure for licensing tourism activities.
20. Which state bodies in the Republic of Uzb carry out the licensing in the sphere of tourism
Licensing of tourist activities is carried out by the territorial departments of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the development of tourism in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Andijan, Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Navoi, Namangan, Syr Darya, Surkhandarya and Ferghana regions, tourism development departments in Bukhara, Samarkand, Tashkent, Khorezm regions and the city Tashkent (hereinafter - the licensing authority).
Licensing of tourist activities is carried out in accordance with the scheme in accordance with the appendix to this Regulation.20.
21. According to the legislation which activities in the sphere of tourism are licensed
Licenses for the right to carry out tourist activities are issued to license applicants providing tour organization services, including booking, accommodation, transportation, catering, as well as recreational, sightseeing and other services in accordance with the terms of the contract for the provision of tourist services.
For individual entrepreneurs providing excursion services, obtaining a license for the right to carry out tourist activities is not required.
