Actuality:
One of the principles of language culture is the development of strong skills and abilities for the correct use of neutral and stylistically colored words.
This dissertation research is devoted to the study of the stylistic properties of the adjectives in the explanatory dictionaries of English and native (Russian) languages.
The purpose of the study – To develop a scientifically based system of analysis, comparison and description of the presentation of the stylistic coloring of the adjectives in the explanatory dictionaries of English and Russian languages on the basis of linguostylistic and linguostatistical studies of the emotional - expressive and functional - stylistic coloring of a language unit.
The purpose of the dissertation research involves solving the following tasks:
1. Analysis and description of dictionary stylistic litters as indicators of stylistic differentiation of words.
2. Definition, analysis and description of the most acceptable system of dictionary stylistic litters for linguostatistical research.
3. Analysis and description of quantitative (statistical) and qualitative characteristics of the emotional - expressive and functional – stylistic coloring of the adjectives in the explanatory dictionaries of English and Russian languages.
4. Comparative analysis description of quantitative (statistical) and qualitative characteristics of the emotional - expressive and functional – stylistic coloring of the adjectives in the explanatory dictionaries of English and Russian languages.
The object of research – Reflection of the stylistic coloring of the adjectives in the explanatory dictionaries of English and Russian languages.
Subject of research – Linguostylistic and linguostatistical indicators of historical, emotional - expressive and functional – stylistic coloring of the adjectives in explanatory dictionaries of English and Russian languages.
