Teacher shows some pictures on the scene and make students guess the theme and talk about the topic. Before making a small slide share presentation, she asks general questions as a brainstorming, Then, she starts to present their slide share presentation



Students give their opinion as much as they can. After that, they will watch a presentation based on the lesson.

1. What is the newspaper article going to be
about?

Teacher shows the new vocabulary of the lesson with the activities ( I prepared two activities “Bomb” “Secret spies”



Working in groups of four (tables), students have
3 mins to discuss the question

Having been introduced with new vocabulary, students play activities as a group..

To read text quickly to get
a general understanding.

Teacher distributes the handouts for introducing students with the text. There are two different tasks: Matching
True and False
However, the teacher gives some time students to look through the text ( 2 min)

First of all, students match the information with highlighted parts of the text then analyze the statements according to context whether they are confirmed or not in the text.

To read intensively to get
a more detailed
understanding of the whole text

( 5mins for each task)

After the tasks of the 1st reading have been done, teacher gives another set of tasks to strengthen the theme “ The inuit”
The first 2 mins is for reading the passage.

Students read the passage again, but this time they should look through it more carefully and do the tasks on the sheets provided by the teacher.

Groups

At the end of the class teacher subdivides into small groups consisting of three in each, and gives the students pieces of paper on that new words written. Then she explains the rule : their job is to make short role-plays.

Students will act their role out by using the words provided by the teacher.
