USING OF ELECTRONIC TEXTBOOKS OF THE COURSE
"PROGRAMING ON C++"

It is not a secret that today infomration technologies are being integrated to all sphers, 
including the sphere of education. Today the new generation of textbooks are creating electron 
textbooks and implementing it in educational process. Electron textbooks have several 
advantages upon conventional editions. On the first hand, it is very easy to distribute and update 
information. On the other hand, searching of necessary information from the large amount of 
information is executed in very short period of time. Electron textbooks do not have distance 
limitations. It is available from every edge of the world. Nowadays there are several sorts of 
creating and introducing electron textbooks.
With the development of the students of the course "Programming on C++" is of particular 
importance to the application of new information and pedagogical techniques and modern 
teaching methods. For this case used textbooks, training manuals, texts of lectures, handouts, 
electronic materials, licensed computer programs, patterns of information systems and 
technologies. In this special place has an electronic textbook. 
When it comes to role of electron textbooks (ET) in educational process, it is necessary to 
take into consideration various forms of education, including blended learning, and present state 
of educational system, and, methodological supply of them is of a great importance. Therefore, 
the structure and method of presenting training materials in electron form should be changed in 
accordance with the form of its use. Consequently, it is necessary to provide possibility of using 
large amount of methodological resources by big number of users, as well as individual 
approach, active methodologies of education and feedbacks. 
The new educational materials, such as educational software, schedule of lectures and 
practical lessons, encyclopedias and dictionaries, charts, schemes, illustrations, collection of 
problems and exercises and their methodical instructions, topics of essays, and self-check 
questions and tasks, software for computer experiments and practical games (with the possibility 
to use specialized informational database), software on controlling the quality of education and 
developments of learners, are being integrated to pedagogical activity. 
Methodological and technologic systematization of abovementioned electron materials 
provide formation of ET that unites the functions, such as step-by-step, automated educational 
and controlling systems, modeling software and informational technologies of teaching (ITT). 
The following technologies are mainly used in projecting ETs: 
• projecting in high level programming language with the technologies of information base 
(including multimedia)

• technologies of hypertext
• projecting with specialized tools 
When using high level programming language, textbook is realized in the form of 
software complex and defines standalone module that provides materials from information base. 
This product will be protected from both distribution and unauthorized entry to testing system. 
Main advantage of this approach is that the use of high level programming languages (Object 
Pascal, C++) and database managing systems allows implementation of any author’s ideas. 
Another technologies make this complicated or prohibit this in practice. Besides that, interface of 
program will be permanent (type of window, layout of its elements, fonts), nowadays appearance 
of documents with hypertexts may strongly differ depending on the program. 
One of the topical issues of uninterrupted education system is creation electron 
information-education resources (EIER). The software introduced in this article will be useful for 
those users, who create electron information-education system in uninterrupted education 
system. 
EIE resources include electron textbooks, manuals, methodological instructions, 
multimedia, reference books and dictionaries, hypertexts, electron tests and tasks, and resources, 
that provide self-study and awake interest to study. 
Recommended electron textbook allows “Student” to get familiarized with lectures, write 
programs to recommended problems from collection of problems, edit programs that are already 
written, get familiarized with solutions of these problems. After loading file of electron textbook, 
user is allowed to choose the necessary section. 
If user needs to get familiarized with lectures, he is be given the right to choose the 
topics.Choosing the topic is executed by pointing at the topics with “mouse” and double clicking 
on it. At this state, information related to chosen topic appears on the display. Scroll-bars allow 
user to see the text fully. 
The topic chosen by user initially takes different color (red) and list of all problems 
related to chosen topic appears on the display.
Conclusion about correctness or incorrectness of chosen problem is executed by entering 
the section “Problems solutions”. Here user is asked to enter the “topic of problem” and 
“sequence number of problem”. Besides that, there is information about quantity of solved 
problems 
User, who wants to familiarize with the solution of problem, has possibility to see the 
task and result in OS environment. 
There are 17 recommended topics for users, who want to see the solution of problems or 
to try to solve problems .
