minimization of the risks of depletion of natural resources through the use of 
mechanisms that ensure increased energy efficiency in all areas of the economy
(renewable energy sources, waste management, eco-friendly construction and 
transport). Ensuring sustainable development based on economic growth, 
social 
justice and environmental protection
has become an equally important task. The 
«green» economy has become a trend of development and a symbol of a sustainable 
economy and a developed society that protects the environment for future 
generations, is characterized by justice and does not allow isolation of any groups of 
people or countries. 
«Green» workplace is defined as a workplace that is environmentally sensitive, 
resource-efficient and socially responsible. It is also defined as sustainable workplace 
strategies through which employers can make their offices and working methods 
more sustainable, efficient and well-adapted to the complex, ever-changing business 
world, and organizations can increase business profitability and long-term 
competitiveness while reducing costs, increasing productivity and improving 
recruitment and retention, as well as increasing shareholder value in addition to 
protecting the environment. Green strategies are based on specific and cost-effective 
changes, such as working from home, ways to reduce travel costs, video conferencing 
to reduce travel, increasing access to natural light to save energy, and the like. 
The sphere of labor is being transformed under the influence of new forces. 
These transitional processes require decisive action. There are countless opportunities 
ahead to improve the quality of working life, expand opportunities for choice, reduce 
the gender gap, overcome the harm caused by inequality in the world, and solve 
many other tasks. However, none of this will happen by itself. Without decisive 
action, we will move towards a world in which existing inequalities will worsen and

uncertainty will increase. Thanks to technological advances – artificial intelligence, 
automation and robotics-new jobs will be created, but those who will lose their jobs 
during this transition time may be the least prepared to take advantage of new 
opportunities. Professional skills that are in demand today will not match the jobs of 
tomorrow, and newly acquired skills can quickly become obsolete. Greening the 
economies of our countries will create millions of jobs through the introduction of 
sustainable production methods and clean technologies, but other jobs will disappear 
as countries wind down carbon-dependent and resource-intensive industries. No less 
significant changes are taking place in the demography. The growing number of 
young people in some parts of the world and the aging of the population in others 
may put pressure on labor markets and social security systems, although these same 
changes create new opportunities for providing affordable care services and creating 
an inclusive and active society. We need to take advantage of the opportunities 
offered by these transformations to build a better future and ensure economic 
stability, equal opportunities and social justice, which, ultimately, will strengthen the 
fabric of our society.
