3. Presentation and practice
Teacher draws pupils` attention to the pictures
on the screen and to the map on the board. Teacher
asks:
What comes to your mind when you see these
pictures?
In this way teacher elicits the theme of a new
lesson from the pupils. Now teacher begins to present
new material to the pupils. Teacher shows the pictures
and the map of the world and gives some information
about them. Teacher draws pupils attention to the
screen and ask them to find the theme of the lesson
themselves. They will look at the cluster and try to find
the theme of our today’s lesson. In this stage teacher
asks the following questions:

How do actors know when to move and so on …?
dialogue
theatre
play
act
scenes
actors
stage
By this way teacher makes them discuss about
theatres. Pupils themselves give their ideas and do
presentations. When they have given their ideas

groups do their presentations.
Listening for gist
. PP will listen to the scene and
answer the question.
Teacher tells PP some words about the main
characters in ‘Pygmalion’. Professor Higgins is a

Pickering live together in London. One day they
