allows us to formulate a simple algorithm for choosing a particular verb form in discourse - which,
unfortunately, traditional grammars are not able to do.
There are many techniques for teaching foreign language grammar. One of the most common
is the game. This method can be used both for teaching children of primary school age and older.
The teacher can use existing types of games: language games; pair games; group games. These
games are aimed at solving problems together and of a competitive nature. The project method also
remains relevant today. This method teaches children to cooperate.
In the process of work, students develop creative abilities, the ability to empathize and help.
The use of information and communication technologies remains an integral part of modern
education. When teaching grammar skills, the teacher can use pre-made software products, as well
as create their own. To date, all teaching kits are equipped with an electronic manual application,
which is an integral part of the educational process. As well as presentations, tests, and other
electronic materials created by the teacher themselves contribute to the effective assimilation of
grammatical material in foreign language lessons.
As long experience shows, foreign language teaching in technical universities, students of
nonlinguistic specialties often do not realize the meaning of grammatical structures, in consequence
of which the grammatical structure of the utterance seems to them a form of change which does not
entail any significant distortion of meaning.
Systematic creative technical thinking is aimed at identifying the problem and finding
possible ways to solve it. Thus, the use of problem-oriented teaching methods that focus students
‘
attention on a specific problem situation is preferable to the traditional deductive approach based on
the teacher
’
s presentation of a pre-prepared algorithm of guidelines and rules.
Here is one of the possible algorithms for teaching communicative grammar, which is
conditionally divided into four stages:
- problem statement and search for solutions: identifying grammatical structures and
determining possible content components;
- discussion of content components and determining the algorithm for selecting adequate
grammatical structures;
- skill formation by performing well-known and widely used training exercises;
- use the skill when producing spoken or written speech.
The use of the communicative method in teaching English grammar, based on personality -
oriented teaching methods, in combination with the inductive method, allows you to significantly
increase the motivation of future engineers to learn a foreign language, stimulates their creative
activity, analytical abilities, thereby contributing to the development of engineering thinking.
Improving grammatical skills in various types of speech activity significantly increases the level of
foreign language proficiency, contributes to the development of language competence and, as a
result, increases the effectiveness of communication.
Implementation of the reform is carried out by the education through the solution of tactical,
methodological and organizational tasks. It is the use of information and cognitive technologies that
allows us to solve the main contradiction of the modern education system - the contradiction
between the rapid pace of knowledge increment in the modern world and the limited opportunities
for individual assimilation.
