Plant Biomass
. Table 2 shows the biomass of plant roots and shoots. No significant 
differences were found in the biomass of shoots for Ryegrass cultivated in different planting 
patterns; The biomass of the roots grown in the cuttings treatment was much higher than those 
grown. 
Concentrations and Total Uptakes of Metals in Plants. 
С
oncentrations and total uptakes of metals in ryegrass was presented in Table 3. Pb 
concentration and total uptake in ryegrass was significantly decreased by 56 %, total uptake of Zn 
of ryegrass was significantly decreased by 62 %. Compared with the monoculture treatment, there 
were no significant differences with the concentrations of Cd and Zn in the shoots and roots of 
ryegrass in the intercropping treatment.
