Breakeven Chart and Calculation
Calculated composite weighted average contribution margins are used to compute Dachabor's breakeven points based on the predicted yearly sales for each year. If the firm manages to reach only 0.2 percent of the market by the end of year 2, it will be profitable, as shown in table 9 below.
As it starts to implement its marketing strategy and create its infrastructure, Dachabor will make a loss in its first year. As long as Dachabor is able to recruit the customers it expects to, the company will begin making money in the second year of operations, which will be critical for the company's success. Dachabor's early and long-term success depends on a successful market penetration. First-year success for Dachabor will let it take advantage of network effects, allowing it to develop much more in the years to come.
