Glossary
Paralanguage - When people talk, they don't stop short at language. They use their voices in ways that go along with language. People also talk with their bodies. And they use substitutes for language.

Vodcasts - a video stored in a digital form (= in a form that uses signals in the form of numbers) that you can download from the internet and play on a computer or on an MP3 player.
VoIP tools - Voice over Internet Protocol: technology that allows people to make phone calls over the internet.
ITSP – Internet telephony service provider.
Blog - a regular record of your thoughts, opinions, or experiences that you put on the internet for other people to read.
Wiki - a website that allows users to add, delete (= get rid of), and edit (= change) the contents, or the program that makes this possible.
MOO – multi-oriented objects.
Web 2.0 – (also known as participative (or participatory)[1] web and social web)[2] refers to websites that emphasize user-generated content, ease of use, participatory culture and interoperability (i.e., compatibility with other products, systems, and devices) for end users.
Synchronous - (of learning or teaching) happening with a teacher and group of students who are all taking part in a lesson at the same time, either physically together in one place or using the internet
