Problems of work organization and advantages of 
students’ participation in an applied research project.
The work of students on the development of in-
formation content, of course, had a number of posi-
tive results. Among them we can mention:
1. Students have gained experience working on an 
applied research project, understanding the nature 
and structure of applied research.
2. Formation of a positive attitude and perspective 
motivation to this type of work, since the results of 
applied research were promptly posted on the website 
RUSSINFO.IN, which made the students ‘ work 
visible.
3. Getting the skills to search and process infor-
mation.
4. Getting skills in writing the author’s original 
text of the article, editing it in accordance with the 
requirements.
5. Working out the culture of scientifi c work, in-
cluding the skills to comply with the rules and recom-
mendations; responsibility for meeting the deadlines 
for order execution.
6. Practice of translating text into English.
7.A Implementation of creative resources of stu-
dents, especially in the development of author’s ex-
cursion routes.
8. Getting experience in presenting content for 
foreign tourists, taking into account the cross-cultur-
al characteristics of a particular region.
9. Gain experience in teamwork.
10. Developing skills for presenting materials (ar-
ticles), as well as presenting yourself as content au-
thors, since photos and names of authors were post-
ed on the website.
However, it should be noted the diffi
culties as-
sociated with the organization of students’ work. 
Among them, the most frequent problem was the 
issue of article design. Despite detailed, exhaustive 
instructions, the rules for text formatting were not 
fully observed in 90% of students. Articles were re-
turned for revision, but even this required the par-
ticipation of teachers in the editing of materials.
