  1. Professional Language Portfolio Introduction

Some studies have shown that portfolios can have a significant impact on learning. Zeichner and Wray (2001) report that educators who have already personally experienced the use of professional portfolios use a wider range of unique assessment tools and have more step-by-step notes about students' progress. Thus, the role of portfolios in the context of distance learning and dialect education can be seen as important as meeting the needs of a variety of distance dialect teachers (Bernhardt and Hammadou, 1987; Day and Shapson, 1996; Fox, 1999; Moore, 1996). Foreign language teachers regularly teach dialects through specific substances or ranges of substances, which correlates teachers' dialect skills with content information (Bernhardt and Hammadou, 1987; Fox, 1999).
