2-year curriculum for academic lyceums, 2-year curriculum for schools and higher pedagogical education curricula.

Today, in a foreign language preschool, twice a week, 2 hours per week in grades 1-4, 3 hours in grades 5-11, the first foreign language is 8–10 hours in academic lyceums, the second foreign language is ​​2 hours, 2 hours in vocational schools, the main foreign language taught in the institutions is taught for 10 hours in higher education3.

The development of foreign language teaching in the system of continuing education identifies key trends.


- learning experience in setting standards for developed countries and improvement of foreign language learning standards that take into account national characteristics
- critical thinking, competencies of independent search and analysis of information and emphasis on skills development;
- providing the quality of education and staffing in accordance with the requirements of the state educational standard for foreign languages with international training requirements;
- implementation of qualification requirements in practice for graduates of continuing education in foreign languages implementation of qualification requirements in practice;
- updating of the content of foreign language science, as well as improvement of teaching methods, individualization of the educational process step-by-step;
- Ensuring the integration of foreign languages ​​with other general education subjects and directing language learners to use a foreign language in real life;
- improvement of an inclusive education system for teaching foreign languages ​​to children with disabilities. The main goal of teaching a foreign language at all levels of education in the Republic of Uzbekistan is the improvement of communicative competence in a foreign language in order to work language learners in daily, academic and professional fields. Foreign language communicative competence is considered the ability that is using the knowledge, skills and competencies acquired in the foreign language being studied is considered to use in communication.
