RACIM Model

Cabanillas et.al., (2012) inform that RACIM is one of the effective ways to allocate responsibility and describe it as following:
Responsible (R): employee who may conduct the task, who is responsible for the operation until the job is done and approved by a competent official. Usually, there is only one person responsible for an operation.
-Accountable (A): a person who after approval, must approve the work carried out by the person responsible for the operation and who becomes responsible for it. For each operation, there must be one and only one responsible.
– Consulted (C): this position includes the people whose input is required when doing the job, and with whom there is two-way contact.
Informed (I): a person who is kept up-to-date on the development of an activity and/or the outcomes of the job and for whom only one-way contact occurs. For an operation, there could be more than one knowledgeable entity.
