1. The unopened package must be stored at room temperature.

2. Do not use the IOL after the expiration date.

3. Check the integrity of the sterile packaging before use. 

4. Do not implant the IOL if the packaging which maintains sterility has been opened or 

damaged.

5. The IOL is for single use only. Do not re-sterilize the IOL by any method as this may increase 

the possibility of post-operative infection.

6. Do not re-use the IOL. Risks of re-use include but are not limited to infection and failure to 

meet 

productʼs

 requirements.

7. Do not soak or rinse the IOL with any solution other than sterile balanced salt solution or 

sterile normal saline.

8. Prior to placement into the eye, do not allow the IOL to contact substances that are not 

unsterile.

9. U.S. IOL recommends that saline must not be used as the sole lubricating agent but in 

combination with an ophthalmic viscoelastic device (OVD).

10. The IOL must not be allowed to dehydrate. It is recommended that the IOL be inserted into 

the eye within three (3) minutes from the time of folding or loading it into an injector.

11. Irrigate/aspirate to eliminate any OVD residues from the bag, especially between the IOL 

and posterior capsulate.

“A” Constant

The “A” constant for this lens is located on the label of this box. This number is given only as a 

guideline to the surgeon and it is advised that the surgeon calculate his own values for each 

style and diopter of lens.

How Supplied

The IOL is supplied in a sterile water in a borosilicate glass vial or polypropylene blister tray 

with foil lid inside a sealed PET-paper pouch, terminally sterilized with moist heat. The product 

should only be opened under aseptic conditions.
