Contraindications

Implantation is not advisable when the intraocular lens (IOL) may aggravate an existing 

condition, interfere with the diagnosis or the treatment of a pathology, or present a risk to the 

sight of a patient, such as:

■

 Uncontrolled glaucoma

■

 Corneal decompensation or corneal endothelial cell insufficiency

■

 Uncontrolled proliferative diabetic retinopathy

■

 Uncontrolled Iritis/Uveitis

■

 Intraoperative Chorodial Hemmorrhage

■

 Incompletely managed vitreous loss

■

 Potential foreseeable post-operative complications and other conditions which an ophthalmic 

surgeon might identify based on their experience

Complications
