Critical thinking method 

The critical thinking method develops communicative competence, ability to find 

and analyze information, and teaches to think objectively and comprehensively. One of 

the  main  goals  of  this  method  is  to  teach  students  to  think  and  transmit  information 

independently. Therefore, it is important to develop critical thinking skills of students. 

The following techniques may be used for the development of critical thinking: insert, 

cluster, cinquain, acrostic, true/false statements, KWL table, role play, mistake finding 

technique, etc. 

Using these techniques in the lessons allows to get high results because different 

sources  of  information  are  used,  and  various  types  of  memory  and  perception  are 

involved. Taking notes promotes better memorization of the studied material.
