The semiotic aspect defines communication as a specific sign system, on the 
one hand, and an intermediary in the functioning of various sign systems, on the 
other, as "the interaction of subjects carried out by sign means, caused by the needs 
of joint activity and aimed at a significant change in the state, behavior and personal-
semantic formations of the partner" [Petrovsky, 1990: 244]. 
The socio-practical (praxiological) aspect considers communication as "the 
process of interaction of social subjects, social groups, communities or individuals, in 
which information, experience, abilities (skills and abilities) and results of activity are 
exchanged" [Ratnikov, 2005: 309]. 
As we can see, most researchers characterize communication as a set of 
different properties and characteristics and approach the study of the desired concept 
within several aspects at the same time. 
Communication is a complex concept and is one of the main categories of 
various fields of science. Let us consider the peculiarities of the definition of this 
concept in the philosophical, psychological, pedagogical and sociological traditions. 
From a philosophical point of view, communication is considered as: 
-
a condition or method of human development (communication is "a 
necessary condition for the normal development of a person as a member of society 
and as a person, a condition for his spiritual and physical health" [Chernyshova, 
2005: 122], "a way of uniting individuals, as well as a way of their development" 
[Shevandrin, 1995: 93]); 
-
interaction, the main category of which is the form of a certain process 
(communication is "interaction between people, mainly direct", which is of particular 
interest to philosophy, " since it concentrates the forms of thinking and activity
generally significant categories and subjective intentions of individuals "[Kemerov, 
2001: 131].
