By multiplying the Historical Average Multiple of 2.1 times and the mid UN forecast population growth rate (Figure 4 red line) we can in theory estimate a forecast average world real GDP growth rate.  This calculation shows a significantly lower average world real GDP growth rate of approximately 1.4% per annum (Figure 5 red line) compared with the OECD forecasts of around 2.9% per annum.  The differences in the OECD’s forecast versus this paper’s forecast in world GDP by 2060 would be approximately 99% or US$137 trillion dollars.  That is to say, this paper is estimating that world GDP would be half of what the OECD is forecasting by 2060.
