I. Introduction

a scientific concept. First of all, "What is spirituality?" was asked. Specialists of all social and 
humanitarian spheres (sciences: language, literature, history, religion, sociology, ethics, 
aesthetics, etc.), which are important in enriching the spiritual world of mankind and society, 
have a problem with a scientific approach to this issue. 
II.Analysis
It should be noted that the Dictionary of Philosophy, published in Uzbek during the Soviet 
era, does not include this concept. However, the scope of application of the concepts of 
"spirituality" and "spiritual" derived from its core has expanded dramatically, and their lexical 
and terminological content has become so rich that the study of this term as a separate scientific 
concept needs to psyche and artistic, political, moral values, etc.
The term "spirituality" is included in the "Explanatory Dictionary of the Uzbek language" 
published during the years of independence and is explained as follows: "Spirituality" - (Arabic - 
moral state, all moral things, characteristics) “Philosophical, legal, scientific, artistic, religious, 
moral ideas of mankind and a set of concepts”. The first interpretation of a word is meaning (the 
meaning of a word). The second meaning is expressed in the content. The third content is 
intelligent, definite; to make sense of. The fourth meaning is the cause, the essence of something; 
expressed in terms of essence.
In the dictionary "Farhangi zaboni tojiki" it can be seen that "mani" // "mano" 
(meaning) is given together and is expressed in five meanings: 
1. "meaning of the word" - the meaning of the word;
2. Thought, idea;
3. Essence, content (philosophical concept); 
4. In Sufism - the soul, the mental state of man;
5. Reason, culprit.
The fourth meaning of the word, which refers to the inner spiritual world of the mystic, is not 
found in other dictionaries. In the popular scientific dictionary "Independence", spirituality is 
defined as (Arabic "spirituality" - a set of meanings) a set of philosophical, legal, scientific, 
artistic, moral, religious ideas and concepts of people. Spirituality is close to the concepts of 
ideology and thinking, and they require each other. " The definition is short in size, but broad in 
essence. Spirituality is not limited to all human ideas and concepts, but also to the concepts, 
norms, social goals and ideals of the whole society and nation”-in the Brief Dictionary of 
Philosophy we find the same definition. The National Encyclopedia of Uzbekistan gives a 
broader definition of "spirituality": "Spirituality is a concept that represents the spiritual and 
mental world of man. It includes people's philosophical, legal, scientific, artistic, moral, and 
religious ideas. At the heart of the term spirituality is the word "meaning." It is known that man 
has an external and an internal world. His appearance, dress and demeanor, etc. enters. And his 
inner world includes his purpose in life, his thoughts, his desires, his feelings...”. 
The concept of “spirituality” is defined in the Glossary of Basic Concepts of Spirituality, 
published in 2009 on the basis of the works of the President “High spirituality is an invincible 
force” as follows: “Spirituality (Arabic meaning, a set of meanings) - a social phenomenon that 
is always side by side with material life, an integral part of the life of man, people and society.
