Annotation. In this article, we can see Fitrat's views, opinions and reflections on the 

development of literature during his lifetime. In the scientific work, Fitrat's views on this issue 

are  presented  and  analyzed.  The  article  reflects  the  attitude  of  contemporary  scholars  of 

Fitrat to his work and research. There is also a comprehensive approach to the book "Samples 

of  Uzbek  literature",  which  reflects  the  views of  the  scientist  on  the  chronology  of Uzbek 

literature in the early twentieth century.It has also been analyzed scholars who have studied 

Fitrat's  work  in  Uzbek  literature  during  the  years  of  independence  and  their  attitudes  to 

Fitrat's research.
