THE POCONO MOUNTAINS VISITORS BUREAU AWARDS PHIL TUMMINELLO THE LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
POCONO MOUNTAINS, PA – Phil Tumminello, Manager of Pocono Palace Resort, was honored with The Lifetime Achievement Award by the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau (PMVB) at “Pocono Mountains Tourism Day” on May 11. The award was presented at The Chateau Resort and Conference Center.
Each year, The PMVB recognizes industry employees, along with member properties, for strides in customer service and community involvement during the annual event. The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an employee who has longevity in the Pocono Mountains tourism industry and has been a longtime contributor to the success of the property with service that exceeds 20 years.
Tumminello began his career at Pocono Palace in 1979, where he started as a bartender, then moved up to Bar Manager and today is Resort Manager. He is the face of Pocono Palace Resort, providing entertainment and ensuring fun and romance for the guests. His positive attitude and playful style is contagious and often imitated by other team members.
He is well known in the community and helped raise over a half million dollars for the Special Olympics. Tumminello is not only a visionary for Cove Haven Entertainment Resorts, but also a proponent of the Pocono Mountains, with his lifetime commitment to both.
