In education and employment, some people work harder than others. Why do some 
people work harder? Is it always a good thing to work hard? 
It is true that some individuals are more studious and workaholic in comparison with other 
members in society due to
certain reasons. Although, it can be beneficial in reaching the goals, I 
think that it can have negative effects on person’s health and social life.
There are several reasons why some people work hard. 
First and foremost reason, it is in their 
nature to work with dedication and even 
science has proved too that genetics play a role in 
implanting this quality into the individuals by virtue of which it becomes an abiding passion 
for those people and they always feel satisfied by doing intense work. 
Moreover, there are 
some people who feel more need to work hard and
want to achieve unprecedented success 
and stand out from the others as working hard comes as an obligation for them.
For 
instance, sometimes their future employment status might depend on how hard they work 
by which they have to earn their bread and butter. 
Finally, some individuals always love what 
they do as 
by this they can fulfill themselves and guarantee happiness from their 
prospective where hard work act as a medicine which provides them inner satisfaction.
While it is certainly important, working hard has its own downsides too. On the positive side, hard 
work is almost always seen as a positive trait or attitude as it reflects persons sincerity and honesty 
with oneself to achieve goal in life. To add to it, it will bolster the productivity and image of 
employer globally as it is always expected for most motivated, industrious and committed 
individuals to rise to the top and become leaders or experts in their fields. On the negative side, in 
some people have desire to work hard can become an unhealthy obsession and in such cases 
person want perfection, outcompeting others or being the best which sometimes stifles creativity 
and leads to health-related problems and careless mistakes. Furthermore, there are some 
occasions when people work so hard that they neglect family and relationships or become stressed 
and irritable and at that moment I am sorry to say that a positive trait surely becomes detrimental.
In spite of the fact that success in most cases gained through making strenuous efforts both in 
education and business life, it is always better to do everything within borders of your mental and 
physical abilities.
