usually mean that you are taking on the role of character which will teach children 
about the empathy and understanding of different perspectives.

In essence, role play provides
opportunities to develop skills in various different areas 
of the curriculum for example: numbers, history, culture and many other areas. 
The use of a variety of games and role-plays helps to inspire children to foreign 
language, creating the conditions for success in language learning. And students, who 
will be playing, be sure to want to improve their knowledge of a foreign 
language.They contribute to the development of such qualities as independence
initiative; upbringing sense of collectivism. Learners actively, enthusiastically work
help each other, listen attentively to his fellow; the teacher only controls the 
educational activity.
Role play is a great way to learn at all ages!
