The bar chart describes about the daily average number of car journeys to the city center for a period of a decade by both residents as well as non-residents.

In 1996, the average number of journeys are approximately 10,000 per day by residents, whereas it is almost half in case of the non-residents. Over the subsequent 3 years, the numbers of journeys by residents remains somewhat similar.

In early 2000, the parking meters were installed. Since then there has been an acute fall in the city center travel by residents =. However, the non-resident's trend remains the same till 2002. Also, it can be clearly seen that since westgate street and park lane were only accessible to the pedestrians from 2003, there is a massive decline in the daily average commute to the city center by both residents and non-residents both.
