C. Teaching speaking
In the next part called teaching speaking, I made the students communicate regarding as a sign of successful language learning. Speaking has a number of sub-skills, and it may become increasingly important for language learners. I learnt that speaking is not a separate ability. Because it includes several complicated actions or sub-skills including vocabulary mastery, grammar competency, comprehension, language inputs, phonology, and pronunciation, it cannot stand alone.
Speakers and listeners are interchangeable roles. In communicative activitie, speakers and listeners are both speakers and listeners since speakers need listeners to hear what they are saying and listeners need spoken language from speakers to be heard or replied to what they have heard.
I found that learners will need to speak in order to acquire a language and the hallmark of second language acquisition is speaking. Although some students may have specific language learning objectives that exclude speaking, most educators consider speaking to be an essential component of language learning and instruction. One of the primary focuses of developing spoken English is purposefully involving students in their own learning process as they seek to improve their spoken English. During the teaching process, I will share the purpose of teaching speaking is to help students for improving their speaking skill:
1. To boost confidence in speaking and listening in English.
2. Improving comprehension when speaking and listening in English.
3. To improve one's ability to speak English fluently.
4. To improve one's ability to speak English correctly.
Following that I came to the conclusion that teaching speaking is the activity of assisting students in their learning process through numerous tactics in order to be considered successful learners and the objective of speaking is to acquire good speaking abilities so that they can be understood by classmates, educators, and others for academic and social purposes such dialogues, classroom debates, and oral presentations.
