THEME: POSSESSIVES (QARASHLILIK)
Ingliz tilida biror bir predmetning kimgadir yoki nimagadir tegishliligini 2 xicl yo’l bilan ifodalaymiz:
1. Possessive iase – qaratqich qo’shimchasi orqali: bunda predmet oldidan, yoki predmet egasining ortidan tegishli qo’shimcha qo’shish orqali ifodalanadi. Bunda 2 xil shakl bor:
Apostrophe S (‘s) – bunda predmet egasi oxiriga apastrof bilan s (‘s) qo’shiladi. Bunday qarashlilik asosan insonlarga, ismlarga va hayvonlarga nisbatan ishlatiladi:
It is my teacher’s laptop. My brother’s book is very interesting.
Rustam’s dog is very dangerous. My pupy’s tail is very long.
Bunday qarashlilik ishlatilganda ot oldidan hech qanday article ishlatilmaydi.
Bunday qarashlilik ko’plikdagi egalik bilan ishlatilganda, s tushib qoladi va apostrophe (‘) ning o’zi ishlatiladi:
This is our teachers’ room. My students’ books are very old. We need to change them.
Bunday qarashlilik 2 ta ega bilan ishlatilganda, agar predmet bitta bo’lsa va ikkala egaga ham tegishli bo’lsa, ikkinchi egaga qarab qoýiladi:
This is Jamshid and Gulnora’s house.
Bunday qarashlilik 2 ta ega bilan ishlatilganda, agar predmet ikkita bo’lsa va ikkala egaga ham tegishli bo’lsa, ikkala egaga ham ishlatiladi:
