- the suffix -(e)s [-z, -s, -iz ]

- vowel interchange in several relict forms (man — men, woman — women, tooth — teeth, etc.)

- archaic suffix -(e)n supported by phonemic interchange in a couple of other relict forms (ox — oxen, child — children, cow — kine, brother — brethren)

- the correlation of individual singular and plural suffixes in a limited number of borrowed nouns (formula — formulae, phenomenon — phenomena, alumnus— alumni, etc.).

- the plural form of the noun is homonymous with the singular form (sheep, deer, fish, etc.)

As compared to the other two parts of language Grammar is

Grammar abstracts itself from the particular and concrete and builds its rules and laws, taking into consideration only the common features of words. It exists through ages without considerable changes.
The main object of TG is the grammatical structure of language, i.e. the system of the rules of word changing and sentence building.
