Because tourism is largely based on experience, the target market audience
utilizes sight, sound, touch and taste to judge the encounter or adventure. Therefore, the
audience buying journey is an emotional one
—
based on the perception of having a
good time and the feelings that come with an experience. Travelling and tourism, then,
are part escapism and part making memories.
