What is authentic materials?

A number of studies on this problem served as an incentive to determine the mandatory introduction of authentic materials for the formation of socio-cultural competence of senior schoolchildren in foreign language lessons language.

THE AIM OF THE WORK


To provide real-life example of language used in everyday situation. They can be used to add more interest for the learner. They can serve as a reminder to learners that there is an entire population who use the target language in their everyday lives..
The aim of the work is to study the strategies and technologies of working with authentic video material, as well as their application in the English lesson language as a way of developing socio-cultural competence.

The subject of the research is to show methods of working with authentic video materials for developing language competence in second language acquisition.

Pronunciation is also an important factor to consider for all teachers. Because the way they pronounce words may show its influence in the classroom. That’s why every teacher should be aware of peculiarities of both literary and local pronunciation types as each one has its own missions in teaching.
