OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF POTENTIAL AREAS OF TOURISM IN ENSURING THE COMPETITIVENESS OF TOURISM IN UZBEKISTAN

Uzbekistan, after achieving independence has defined as its main goal the construction of a society based on a market economy. In achieving this goal, tourism is considered one of the leading industries. Tourism is not only a study of the past, acquaintance with various nations, enjoying the masterpieces of their cultural heritage, but also big business. And the medical (health) tourism is also developing in Uzbekistan. Acupuncture is the most ancient medicine methodology used in China and other oriental countries in parallel with medicinal and physical therapy, as well as common gymnastics, It is really difficult to evaluate the extent, to which this technique is efficient, as well as its availability and safety of. Simplicity of this method makes it feasible to apply it on the broadest scale and in any condition. Uzbekistan is the country with unbelievable beautiful nature, soft climate, abundance of sun and warmth, pure fresh air, closeness of mountains. All these factors are the real healers for those who come to our country to improve their health and find a spiritual harmony. Uzbekistan has carried out and continues to carry out extensive work on the gradual reform of the health care system, bringing the quality and range of medical services to the level of developed countries. The implementation of special state programs has made it possible to make a huge leap in improving the organizational structure of the health care system and improving the quality of medical care. In particular, the system of providing health care at the primary level has been improved, and a coherent and effective system of providing highly qualified, emergency and specialized medical care has been established. For this purpose, a network of family clinics has been established in the Republic, multi-profile hospitals, clinics, scientific and specialized centers have been built or reconstructed, which are equipped and continue to be re-equipped in accordance with the latest requirements of the time. To date, the material and technical base and human resources of a number of specialized centers, clinics, research institutes and clinical bases of the medical Academy and other medical universities of the Republic provide the opportunity to carry out many complex high-tech medical interventions, which until recently was only possible abroad. Today we are experiencing both qualitative and quantitative shifts in patient mobility, as people travel from richer to less-developed countries in order to access health services. Such shift is mostly driven by the relative low-cost of treatments in less developed nations,

the availability of inexpensive flights and increased marketing and online consumer information about the availability of medical services. Medical tourism in Uzbekistan is the healing property of nature and achievements in modern medicine, united in various sanatoriums and health-improving resorts, which are situated in wonderful ecological areas, surrounded by mountains and in close proximity to natural reservoirs. From year to year the acupuncture expands out all over the world. Within the clinical allergology practice, acupuncture was first used in 1982 and since then it is applied in treating any forms of allergic diseases in children and adults. I do suppose that wide introduction of the acupuncture technique and therapy method of a range of allergic diseases' treatment may be appreciable and advantageous to a world of health care professionals of different specialties.

Zaamin resort is called the “Uzbek Switzerland” for its alpine landscape and abundance of venerable conifers saturating the salutary mountain air. Aktash is another popular climatic health resort with marvelous landscapes of broad-leaved forests. Also, mountain rivers Aktash and Ayubsay run here. The well-known health resort Chimyon is located high up in the mountains not far from Fergana. Here the treatment is based on hydrosulfuric springs and healing mud, which were found here. In sanatoriums of Uzbekistan the sickness of respiratory tracts, neurological and cardiovascular diseases, problems of gastrointestinal tract and musculoskeletal apparatus are treated due to salutary mountain air and natural springs.

However, despite the measures taken, it must be noted that the number of foreign citizens arriving in Uzbekistan for treatment, even with the emerging trend of growth remains extremely low. At the same time, the share of citizens from CIS countries consistently exceeds 90%. This situation is explained, in particular, by the lack of a clear legal framework governing the activities in the field of medical tourism, coordinated interaction of structures engaged in the provision and promotion of this type of tourist product, the lack of international accreditation of medical institutions of Uzbekistan, the lack of the possibility of providing a number of medical services in demand in other countries, the low level of service and infrastructure development, visa and transport problems and a number of other factors.
