Requirements

Spoken interaction (Dialogue). Taking part in dialogues (dialogues of etiquette, one way enquire, two way enquiry, exchange of opinion, dialogue-call for action, expressing one’s will, as well as their combination) if needed asking for repetition, clarification, agreeing/disagreeing, based on the discussed topics and learnt lexical-grammatical material, related to various communicative situations based on the content of speech.
Spoken production (Monologue). Producing monologues (announcement, description, discussion, comparison) based on content of speech using periphrasis, synonymic means, language, speech and content hints based on simple authentic discourse, read or listened in the native and foreign languages, suggesting the use of interdisciplinary links; preparation of short rehearsed reports in a familiar language material.

Reading	Reading “silently”; reading for detail, scanning and skimming not difficult authentic discourses of various types, literary texts (poems, songs, fairy tales, short stories), publicistic texts (newspaper articles and from teenage magazines) and pragmatic texts (adverts, posters, menu, timetable), related to various communicative situations based on the content of speech, guessing the context of a text from title; reading not difficult texts of various genres for detailed and accurate understanding, using various strategies for processing a text (guessing, analysis, selective translation); evaluating the received information, expressing one’s opinion.
Writing	Writing simple short notes and messages, not difficult personal letters, using necessary speech etiquette formula and connecting them with simple linking words “and”, “but”, “because”; filling in greeting cards with and without hints; writing resume, copying out from text; filling in (indicating name, surname, gender, age, citizenship, address).
