Recognising non-equivalent lexis and understanding it in texts (learner dictionaries and reference books); knowing and using in speech the lexis denoting subjects and objects of everyday life of target language countries; use of speech and etiquette formulae and constructing language behavior in accordance with the communication norms accepted in the target language country within communicative settings based on the topic content.

Social competence

Motivation and interest in learning FL; introducing learners to new social experience due to modeled communication settings, role plays in communicative settings based on the defined topics; understanding the importance of learning a foreign language in the modern world and need for using it as a means of communication, cognition, self-realisation and social adaptation; nurturing qualities of a citizen, patriot; developing national self-awareness, strive for mutual understanding among people of various communities, tolerant attitude to manifestations of other culture.
