Recognizing and interpreting characteristics of discourses according to their genre specificity: literary texts (articles from newspaper/magazines for teenagers, Internet sites) and pragmatic texts (advertisements, posters, leaflet, menu, timetable, forms, instructions etc.) within the framework of communicative settings based on the content of speech.

Strategic competence

Verbal/non-verbal tools for compensation in the situation of communicative difficulty of linguistic, pragmatic or sociocultural nature in the process of communication (ability to use while speaking asking for confirmation, periphrasis, synonymic means, mimics, gestures, and while reading and listening – guessing, thematic guessing of the content, omitting/ignoring information which do not hinder understanding main ideas of a text) within the content of speech.
