Write a reflection about the works that you have done during this study practice focusing on the following questions:
1.What is the success and failure of the pack “Fly High”? (40-50 words)
To begin with merits and demerits of the cluster “Fly High", I can surely inform that this collection is well-organized, has good structure and also are full of colorful exercises. Another thing I can comment on is that audio materials are very impressive and interesting for children. However, I must write down something that should be added to this collection. It is based on vocabulary and pronunciation.
2. What did you learn during the study practice? (40-50 words)
Actually, this practice added its huge contribution to my English knowledge and teaching skills. During practice,l learnt a lot of useful teaching methods and teaching rules.First of all,l knew psychology is important to teach and engage student's attention. I understood that without teaching methods, lesson can not be interesting and clear for learners.
3. What problems have you faced while playing the role of the teacher in primary classes? (40-50 words)
During teaching pupils who are in just primary stage, we had to face up to some difficulties based on calming pupils. As all we know, at this very age pupils are like a rolling stone. They can`t sit anywhere for a long time. That’s why we suffered from such thing but not anything else. All pupils were all ears when we conducted lessons and they tried to get the hang of our knowledge.
4. In what way has knowledge and skills increased while the study practice? (40-50 words)
For the time being before the practice term began, we learnt most of skills like grammar, listening, speaking and so on. But if you are willing to conduct a lesson these skills aren’t enough. After a week practice, we trained with pupils: how to grab their attention, how to organize a lesson. And I suppose these are skills concerned to the pedagogical field.
5. What skills (listening, reading, writing, speaking) and aspects (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation) did you find the most interesting and the most difficult in teaching process? (40-50 words)
As a result of practice, we found out that pupils are fond of listening music, pronouncing words. These are not so insistent tasks. I guess writing and speaking, and pronouncing some words skill as the most difficult one among other. A myriad of pupils didn’t want to write anything like essay, letter. But grammar and vocabulary was very easy.l found the most interesting them in teaching process.
6. Are you satisfied with your teaching? How would you assess yourself? (Excellent, good, satisfied, unsatisfied) Why? (40-50 words)
To be honest, I would not say I myself was satisfied with my teaching so much. There are several reasons for that. For example, although I found the most suitable tasks and alternative way to teach children, in the very teaching process I messed up with them at first. Then, I corrected it and I would highlight my lesson was good enough.
7. What changes would you like to add to the practical period? (40-50 words)
If l had a chance to add new changes,l would add different handouts and new worksheets besides class book.Because l think that "Fly High" has not enough information to fully explain the theme to the pupils.
