Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) has applied for a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to fund the contract for the "MWMP-12-05A Proposed Combined Sewerage Interceptor System for Valenzuela Sewage Treatment Plant" under the Manila Wastewater Management Project. Maynilad aims to prequalify contractors and/or firms for the above-mentioned project. It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in October 2013.
Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, January 2011, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries, as defined in the guidelines.
The project is packaged into three Lots and the prequalification document includes separate qualification criteria for each Lot. Interested applicants may submit on one, two or all Lots. However, prequalification shall be based on applicant's financial and technical capability to undertake the project.
Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from, and inspect the prequalification documents at, the Contracts Management-Program Management Office of Maynilad from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday to Friday). A complete set of the prequalification documents in English may be purchased by interested Applicants upon the submission of a written application to the address specified below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ONE THOUSAND PESOS (Php1,000.00) or TWENTY THREE US DOLLARS (US$23), payable to Maynilad Water Services, Inc.

Invitation for Bids
1. The Government of Mongolia has received a grant from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Southeast Gobi Urban and Border Town Development Project. Part of this grant will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.
2. The Ministry of Construction and Urban Development, Mongolia (the Employer) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the civil works contract for Improvement of Sainshand Water Supply, Sewerage and Heating Supply systems which includes, but not limited to the following:
a. Replacement and Renovation of 4.84 km water supply line;
b. Construction of 1.61 km new water supply line;
c. Replacement and Renovation of 3.72 km sewerage line;
d. Construction of 1.34 km new sewerage line;
e. Replacement and Renovation 1.9 km district heating line;
f. Construction of 0.8 km district heating line.
3. Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in this bidding:
a. Have experience under construction contracts in the role of contractor, subcontractor, or management contractor for at least the last 3 (three) years prior to the bid submission deadline;
b. Have participation as contractor, management contractor, or subcontractor, in at least 1 (one) contract within the last 3 (three) years, each with a value of at least US$2,000,000 that have been successfully or are substantially completed and that is similar to the proposed works. The similarity shall be based on the physical size, complexity, methods, technology or other characteristics as described in Section 6, Works Requirements of the Bidding Document;
c. Must have a minimum average annual construction turnover of US$ 1,500,000 calculated as total certified payments
received for contracts in progress or completed, within the last 3 years;
d. Must demonstrate that the Bidder has undertaken the following in the last 3 years:
· Construction of water supply and sewerage pipe work of at least 15 km in length;
· Construction of heating pipe work at least 2 km in length;
e. The project manager must have at least 10 years of working experience in general and 5 years of working experience
in similar works; and
f. Possess the relevant construction licenses required to undertake the works. The licensing requirement is waived for international bidders.
4. International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure.
