throw

What we do to stones, spears, balls, and so on when we want them a
long way from us.
throw away
I like paper tissues. Use them and then throw them away.
Away
means you never see it again. To throw it away is to throw it into the
rubbish, to discard it.
Mr Scharfstein went to Las Vegas, and threw all his money away.
Notice that if we are talking about throwing rubbish away from the house,
we can also say
throw out
.

leave your house. Normally we do not literally throw them

of the door.
Sometimes we use this verb for things instead of people. Then it means

the stomach. To throw up means 'to vomit'

Try has two similar meanings that are not quite the same.
(1) The first meaning is 'to intend' or 'to attempt'. When we try to do
something, we attempt to do it.
Arnold tried to get to school on time every day, but always there was a
problem with the buses or the weather or something else.
(2) The second meaning is closer to the idea of 'test'.
Beatrice tried drinking whisky, but she hated it. She won't touch it again.
Notice the grammar.
Try to do something = attempt to do it
Try doing something or try something = testing it
try for
For
is usually the reason we do something.
'Do you think you will pass that exam?'
'I don't know, but I'm going to try for it.'
(I will make a good attempt.)

By extension, when a naughty child wants to see how far he can go
before being punished, she (or, more usually, he) will try, or test, his
parents' patience. He will do something as bad as he dares so he can find
out what will happen. He will trying it on.
'Why is Marcia screaming so much? I didn't touch her.'
'Don't worry about it. She's just trying it on. She does this all the time.'
Such a child is known as a very trying child.

The basic idea of turn is rotate, revolve, go round in a circle. By extension,
it can also mean a change of state. For example, when it is very hot,
