Conclusion on Chapter II.

To sum it all up briefly from this chapter, I would like to say that there is much more you need to know about the present period and the development of the literature of this period. The more you study the works of this literature, the more you will be amazed. There are some literary theories or concepts that you may not easily understand. In such cases, you can quickly get help on the assignment and learn things more easily.

Dickens as a modern novelist and all his books are modern novels. Dickens didn’t know at what really point he became a novelist. The novel being a modern product is one of the few things to which we really can apply that disgusting method of thought – the method of evolution. His Christmas stories publishing in the Household Words and All the Year Round had great fame in his time, but it doesn’t mean that it is forgotten nowadays. The Christmas theme always attracted people, and the warmth, loveliness, kindliness of these stories fills everybody’s heart with joy and happiness. They are translated into many languages and are read present days and I hope they will be loved by the readers many centuries. There was painful moment (somewhere about the eighties) when we watched anxiously to see whether Dickens was fading form the modern world. We have watched a little longer, and with a great relief we begin to realize that it is the modern world that is fading.
CONCLUSION

In соnсlusiоn оf my соursе wоrk I shоuld sаy thаt wоrking with this thеmе wаs vеry intеrеsting fоr mе. I gоt аll еssеntiаl dаtа аbоut personal life and literary works of Charles Dickens аnd еvеn I rеаd this stоriеs оf authors, thеy аll likеd mе. I саn sаy withоut dоubt Charles Dickens’s novels were оnе оf thе grеаtеst works оf the litеrаturе.

In addition to all this, after his retirement, he was engaged in various charitable activities. These donations include schools for poor children and a credit society that helps the poor in Australia.
Then, around 1865, his health began to fail, and on June 9, 1870, he died of a stroke. The novel "Christmas Carol" is about an old sad man named Ebenezer Scrooge. Ebenezer was a very greedy man and he didn’t care about others (or Christmas). On Christmas Eve, Ebenezer is visited by "past Christmas ghosts," "Christmas gift ghosts," and "Christmas ghosts." In other words, Ebenezer takes a journey to see what has happened in the past, what is happening now, and what will happen in the future. Ebenezer understands that if he doesn’t stop being so bad and greedy, no one will feel sorry for his death, but instead remember him as a bad and greedy man. I like the language and style of Charles Dickens.
Anyone who reads this may or may not respect my point of view because I think I am too young to understand the greatness of plot and language, and I admit that I do not fully appreciate this classic literature.
I think, Charles Dickens has a very interesting relationship with the fine arts. He has not only worked with some of the most famous artists of his time (George Kruikshank, John Lich), but has also inspired other great artists such as Arthur Reckham, as well as authors and painters to this day. When we say something “Dickensian,” we don’t just mean something like his era. I don’t think the terms Victoria and Dickensian are interchangeable. Dickens has a wonderful combination of simple passion surrounded by horror and dark tragedy.
Draw someone on the top hat and tight shirt collar and you can call it the Victorian era. Put a small-sized hat on the bright-eyed, then put a dark and dull man in the background and look at the youth, and now you’ve drawn Dickens.
Dickens evoked a sense of storytelling, and you can imagine it with your own eyes. Dickens novels are episodic and are very suitable for artists who want to use vignettes to depict the mood and moment of the scene in their works. Try to describe a moment in the novel by James Joyce. Even writing colleagues like Anthony Trollope and George Eliot couldn’t fully come to the level of momentum achieved in writing (in my opinion).
You can visit the link below for a really great resource and an archive of Dickens’s illustrators and illustrations.
I was trying to think about how Dickens had influenced the fine arts and popular culture, and of course that usually goes back to Christmas Carol.
If it weren’t for Scrooge McDuck at Christmas Carol, would I have watched every episode of Disney’s duck tales?
I think there’s something about Dickens ’writing of heroes and character types that, when combined with our impressions and visual memory of things from the Victorian era, creates a unique Dickens-specific motif and image, and something that authors and artists draw since then.
He was realistic writer and showed real picture of life with all of its good and bad sides, however, humor, high mood of these stories make us to believe in happy, joyful future.
“My trust in people, who rule, is insignificant. My trust in people, who are being ruled, is boundless.”
