How Much Do You Want to Pay for a Hotel Room?
If money is no problem, there are lodging options beyond luxury suites. For example, vil-
las offer the privacy of a luxurious home along with hotel amenities, activities, and services.
How about one of the following:

The One and Only Ocean Club in the Bahamas. This property has three ocean-front vil-
las with outdoor tubs and infinity-edge pools. Villas come with a butler and cost $4,000
to $5,000 per day (summer rates).

Little Dick’s Bay on Virgin Gorda (British Virgin Islands). Villas feature oversized liv-
ing and dining areas, private pools, and outdoor showers. Nightly rates are $1,500
(two bedrooms) and $2,000 (three bedrooms).

Jumby Bay Resort (Antigua). Summer rates begin at $1,500 per day for two, including
all meals and alcoholic beverages.

Starwood Santa Marina Resort and Villas (Greek island of Mykonos). Guests can
choose two- to four-bedroom villas costing $1,600 to $6,000 nightly in June.

Sandy Lane (Barbados). This is a five-bedroom villa starting at $8,000 per night.
•
The Greenbriar (West Virginia). This property offers privately owned “estate homes” with
rates running from $2,000 to $4,000 daily in summer, including breakfast and dinner.
One of the most unusual and priciest packages did not give the guest a room but the
entire Millenium Resort Scotsdale, McCormick Ranch (125 deluxe guestrooms). For a
minimum price of $100,000 dollars, the winner of an eBay auction, along with 250 guests,
had exclusive access to the entire resort from August 27–30, 2004. The package included
unlimited food and beverages and private use of the resort’s ballroom, tennis courts, sand
volleyball courts, swimming pool, cabana bar, and award-winning restaurant.
