One instance in which I moved to a new house was a time that I had to move to a new 
state. And in fact, it was across the ocean, so I wasn't able to take a moving truck. So we 
had to ship ourselves all of our different items and just purchase new things when we had 
arrived. So we knew that we would be arriving very late, and so we wouldn't have time 
upon our flight arrival to go and purchase the things that we would need to just go right to 
sleep. So we had Amazon deliver in advance just something easy to sleep on: a mattress 
topper and a couple of pillows, and a blanket. So what we got there, we just had to open 
the boxes, and we just laid them on the hard floor, and that's what we slept on for the first 
night. And then in the morning, of course, we had nothing to cook with or food in the fridge, 
so we decided to treat ourselves to a delivery breakfast which we ate on the floor. So we 
just had breakfast on the floor and made a game plan for what we were going to get that 
day, and, of course, the first priority was a mattress which we did find, and we just were 
able to stuff it into the back of our car luckily. So, we had a mattress, and that was step 
one, and then we were able to find a couch as well. And those were like the big things on 
our list in terms of making sure we felt comfortable in our home. We piecemeal put our 
house together, so we didn't go out and just buy everything all at once. We bought things 
in slowly. And we decided that we wanted everything to really reflect us and to have some 
personality, so every time we went out, we tried to find things that really spoke to us. And 
one fun example that I have is that we ended up going to the store to buy a coffee table 
and instead bought a pool table, a bumper pool table. And we put that in our living room 
instead of a coffee table.
