READ THE LETTER
Think about the evidence Michelle Robertson gives to support her request.

Dear Mayor:
This letter is to request that repairs be made at the Cepeda Avenue Ballpark. The park is not as 
safe or as attractive as it should be, and I believe the problems can be easily fixed.
First of all, there are gaping holes in the grass surrounding the baseball diamond. Often, these 
holes are not visible until it is too late and a player has stepped into one. Also, the bleachers have 
cracks on many of the seats. Not only are the cracked seats uncomfortable, it would be very easy to 
get scratched or cut on them. Finally, the home plate on the baseball diamond is so worn out that it 
comes loose and does not stay in place. A player could easily trip and get injured.
In addition to these safety issues, the ballpark’s appearance could use some work. Currently, 
the ballpark looks run down. The simple repairs I am requesting would really spruce up the place 
and attract more visitors to our community.
This town loves the Cepeda Avenue Ballpark, and it would be a shame to allow the park to 
deteriorate further. I have talked to my friends and neighbors, and they feel the same way I do. 
Please have repairs made to the ballpark so we can all continue to enjoy spending time there.
