Importance and organization of student placement and internships at SamVMI
Currently, systematic work is underway to develop agriculture within the country. In particular, the
Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to radically improve the system of
state management of
agriculture and water management” dated April 17, 2018 No. R
-5418 of the
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On
measures to organize the activities of the Ministry of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan"
dated April 7, 2018 No. PP-367l the latest decisions indicate significant changes in the industry. The
current reforms are based on theory and practice. For this reason, production practice or internships are
very important in the study of theoretical knowledge acquired by a student. Qualification internships are
carried out on the basis of the Regulation on the practice of students of higher educational institutions of
the Republic of Uzbekistan, approved by order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education
of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 30, 1998 No. 305. Qualification practice of students is a
continuation of the educational process in the production environment, which is necessary to strengthen
theoretical knowledge of students and graduates.
Usually student placement is planned in 4, 6, 8-semesters of study period, depending on course
orientation. Students will choose objects of internships for themselves based on mutual contracts such as:
high performing local farms, orchards, research and trial facilities, livestock farms, provincial agricultural
administrations, crop protection bio-laboratories, area irrigation associations, machine-tractor parks, agro-
chemistry branches, cotton production, corn production, primary processing of fruits and vegetables, silk
production. Every department prepares in the start of academic year education-methodical guides-
programs for internships. Here also it is necessary to prepare daily notebooks for students, which they
have to fill on the basis of work done daily. For every internship a supervisor will be appointed from the
corresponding department for 6-8 students. At the end of the internship a student needs to prepare a
detailed report, which will discuss in institute. Also in preparation for the final qualification of students
will organized into a pre-qualification internship in 7-or 8-semester. Internships play an important role in
enriching students' theoretical knowledge with practice, as well as in developing students as professionals.
Students enrolled in program 5230100-
“Economics (Agriculture)” will practice in order to expand their
theoretical knowledge. Students will be familiarized with this practice: mainly when growing crops such
as wheat and cotton, as well as with the procedures for providing, producing and selling, accounting and
reporting for livestock farms.
Upon returning from practice, the student will report on the results of the internship and the skills
learned. In fact, the student has extra time to collect and process the economic material during the
internship. The report title, description of the report by the head of the farm, where the internship is
conducted, contains a summary of the report (Annex 2), the diary and total amount of pages 60-70, filled
in the prescribed manner. the report prepared within one day after the completion of the internship is
submitted to the secretary of the jury appointed by the Dean's office. The student will defend the report
on the results of the internship in front of the commission of the Dean of the faculty. Each report submitted
will be reviewed by the faculty members of the department, who will be appointed by the department's
supervisors, and will be advised of their defense. The student will report to the commission formed by the
Dean's Office on their report. The student will present a defense. The student is evaluated by a commission
based on a rating system and a student who has received an unsatisfactory rating from the report is not
allowed to defend their degree.
During the internship, the student will conduct a comprehensive analysis of at least three years
economic and technical performance of the enterprise. It then uses the plans to increase the effectiveness
of economic, organizational and other problems. Increasing and enhancing the productivity of products
begins with the identification of factors that can improve access to existing capabilities. Therefore, this
program is widely used to analyze and improve the use of resources. It is desirable that all technologists,
not just economists, should actively participate in substantiating current and future resource utilization
