CONCLUSION 
The Gacaca proceedings could produce great benefits. They may solve problems of the 
current slow judicial practice;. they also have the potential to create significant benefits in terms 
of truth, reconciliation and even empowerment. For these reasons the international community, 
including many human rights organization is, has decided to cautiously support the process. The 
year 1994 has a lot of significance in the history of Rwanda. Before 1994, Rwanda was an almost 
unknown country hidden in the heart of Africa. Transitional justice is an important component of 
post-conflict reconstruction. To achieve the desired justice and peace outcomes and objectives, 
various factors should be considered, such as the need for appropriate structures that guarantee 
coherence amongst the various processes and mechanisms. While the different processes of 
transitional justice come with varied outcomes and challenges, we argued that different outcomes 
can be simultaneously converged into a coherent, coordinated process that will deliver justice as 
well as foster reconciliation. The success of transitional justice in post-conflict scenarios depends 
on these factors and dynamics, hence the overriding need for all stakeholders to work in consensus 
and partnership. "Similarly, the events leading up to the intense and widespread violence seem 
little understood most importantly, the lessons we need to learn from the genocide in Rwanda 
need to be clearly and repeatedly proclaimed throughout the world". These tragic events shocked 
the world and placed Rwanda on the global map. The outlook for the Rwanda economy also 
depends on peace and stability in the entire great lakes region including alternative sources.
