Islam Türkay, whose real name is Ehmed İslam Heftikoğlu, was born on November
7th, 1950, in Demirciler village of the Kazakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Following his primary education, he studied journalism in Azerbaijan State University
and worked as a translator, editor, author and manager in various newspapers and
publishers.
Islam Türkay is mostly known as a poet rather than a journalist. His poem books

This article first offers a general overview
of linguistic forms and then, the
linguistic forms presented in Islam Türkay’s poems are highlighted along with specific
examples.
